Message to our customer – Westisle Covid-19 response
Westisle has introduced measures to keep our employees safe, serve our customers with the highest standards and do our part to slow community spread of the virus.
Our technicians are maintaining 6’ of separation from others while performing tasks on job sites. If technicians are having trouble maintaining this distance and are unable to create the space, consider rescheduling the work to take place after hours when safe distances can be observed. We are allowing our technicians to complete work orders without a customer signature, in order to avoid customer touching the in-field tablets. Further to this we will be avoiding direct contact/touching with people and will be not be allowing visitors into the office. As the situation changes each day, we’ve also implemented guidelines for future escalation plans. This includes sharing best practices on avoiding large groups, and comprehensive options for office staff to work remotely.
Westisle will be prioritizing emergency calls, and postponing non-emergency work as much as possible. We have also implemented a 14-day self-isolation policy for anyone who has returned from an affected country or has come in close personal contact with someone who has returned from an affected country.
All Westisle workers have access to hand sanitizer, gloves and anti-bacterial wipes, and have been given guidance to help be extra vigilant and adopt best practice hygiene measures. Staff feeling unwell are urged to seek medical advice and self-isolate. As government guidance evolves, Westisle will follow protocol to ensure the safety of our customers and staff.

Wonderful Service. Our technician Sean was on time and thoroughly examined the system. He was able to replace a part on-site and stated the other parts would be ordered. We have received a call that the order has been placed and the parts will be installed upon receipt. We were very pleased with our technician and the service provided.

Westisle installed our new heat pump several years ago and has serviced our heat pump since and have always provided excellent service! We just had our yearly service completed again (plus we appreciate the reminder card that is mailed out) and the technician (Lawson) was fantastic! Exceptional service! The Ladies in the office did a great job of booking our appointment and providing information. Robin was the technician they sent to fix our heat pump, and we were thoroughly impressed with his service and knowledge! All around great experience and would highly recommend them.
Westisle recently installed a new Mitsubishi Heat Pump and Furnace in our home in Nanaimo. This to replace an older system that had failed and the cost to repair and maintain that system was better put into a new one. Their price quote was competitive with other companies offering the same system. They arrived with a full crew of technicians, removed the old system and installed the new one in two days. They were respectful of our home and cleaned up the work area at the end of the work day. We are fully satisfied with their work and would recommend their services.
We needed an air conditioner & electronic air filter for our new home before summer arrived and the heat overwhelmed us again. Westisle Heating & Cooling sent Grant to calculate what we needed & the costs. He gave us two choices and clearly explained what they were then left us to choose. Financially it was a huge decision for us. A week later Grant returned to calmly repeat what he had said and we were able to make a decision. A week later my husband had a heart attack and was hospitalized for angioplasty. Westisle Cooling & Heating and all staff related with them reassured me that the units would be installed as planned and that they would not disturb my husband who would be shortly discharged from hospital. True to their word, that day everything went well & quiet. My husband & I napped in the living room while the units were installed and when they left the house was still clean. The air conditioner automatically turned on at seven o’clock that evening surprising us. A beautiful surprise. Thanks to Westisle we have a lovely air conditioner that works perfectly and came at a very good price. It was installed by caring & knowledgeable staff.
We have nothing but praise for Westisle Heating and Coolinig, starting with the total process of the estimate, and through the many e-mails and phone calls to Grant that he always answered promptly and fully. Their installation team was very professional and polite and finished in the time promised, and every aspect of their work was done properly. We also appreciated the tremendous help from the office staff with the paperwork involved with applying for our Rebates. All in all, the whole process was the best business experience that we have been involved in for many years.

Keegan was very professional and seemed to diagnosis the problem almost right away, had the part in his truck, discussed the price before installing the part, then did the yearly maintenance/inspection, up and running again.
When our heat pump broke down during a cold snap we called Westisle and they responded promptly. The technician was professional and courteous, explained our options and charges from beginning to end, diagnosed the problem right away, fixed it as soon as the part arrived and charged us a fair rate.
